Injection Molding Materials

There are many varieties of materials that will be utilized in the injection molding process. Most polymers is also used including all thermoplastics, some thermosets and a few elastomers.

When these materials are used in the injection molding method, their raw kind is sometimes little pellets or a fine powder. Also, colorants is also added within the method to manage the colour of the final part.

The selection of a material for making injection molded parts isn't only based upon the specified characteristics of the final part. While each and every material has different properties that may have an affect on the strength and performance of the final part, these properties also state the parameters that used in process of these materials.

Each material needs a different set of processing parameters within the injection molding process, aw well as the injection temperature, injection pressure, mold temperature, ejection temperature and cycle time.
